This year’s conference brought together 8 of our Worcester Sisters with hundreds of other NAWICs from across the country for four days filled with learning, connection, and celebration of our industry and each other!

Wednesday: Melissa McAneny of Trunk Tools kicked things off by showing how AI is transforming construction today—streamlining coordination, reducing rework, and preparing teams for the future.
Thursday: Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll welcomed us, and keynote speaker Emily Pilloton-Lam challenged us to imagine the world women could build when given the space to lead. The day also featured powerful discussions about NAWIC’s future, a screening of Sista in the Brotherhood followed by a panel of tradeswomen, and a lively Northeast Region social at Clery’s.
Other Breakout sessions of interest included:
Bridging Generations in the Construction Industry
What to do when ICE shows up at your Jobsite
Women Leading the Way: Strengthening Architect-Contractor Collaboration
Creating Cultures of Neuroinclusivity
Friday: The new NAWIC National Board and Committees were installed! Sessions focused on leadership in construction (Andrea Janzen & Dr. Richard Hannah) and marketing for business growth (Scott Butcher). We ended the day with the Awards Gala, celebrating members’ incredible contributions nationwide, including Member of the Year: our Boston Buddy Rachana Kheraj!

Saturday: The conference wrapped with a thought-provoking Privilege Walk led by Membership Chair Cait Lowe, reminding us of the unique journeys women face in this industry. Futurist Nikki Greenberg closed with a keynote on the future of women in construction, exploring how technology and generational shifts will shape the path ahead.
Takeaway: The Boston conference was a reminder of NAWIC’s mission—empowering women, elevating leadership, and building a more inclusive, innovative future for Women in Construction and also: a wicked good time was had by all!
