On Saturday, October 18, members of NAWIC Greater Worcester Chapter 241 rolled up their sleeves for a Habitat for Humanity Build Day in Ashland, Massachusetts — and what a rewarding day it was!
We were thrilled to be joined by friends from the Granite State and Boston NAWIC chapters, making it a true regional effort of women supporting women (and families) through the power of construction. Together, we spent the day insulating, taping and laughing — proving once again that teamwork and shared purpose can build more than just houses; they build community.
The Habitat team guided us through the project site, explaining how each phase of construction directly contributes to creating safe, affordable homes for families in need. It was inspiring to see how our collective skills and enthusiasm made a tangible difference by the end of the day.
A special thank-you to all who joined, whether you picked up a hammer or offered encouragement from the sidelines. The collaboration and camaraderie reminded us why we love being part of NAWIC — empowering women in construction while giving back to our communities.
Here’s to more build days, more partnerships, and more moments that remind us how strong we are together. 💪🏽🏠
