This event is part of Habitat’s Women Build program, designed to support local low-income women, families, and veterans in their pursuit of affordable housing.
About the Build
The vacant lot at 487 Main St., Ashland is being used to build a single-family home. An energy-saving home, it will be all-electric, including heating & cooling with mini-splits and hybrid hot water tank. The site is within walking distance of Ashland Town Center, just over a mile to Ashland State Park, and convenient to highways and shopping. In addition to providing a much-needed homeownership opportunity, building a new affordable home on this now vacant property will better integrate the space into and improve the community.
